Guestbo vs Stessa: Which Rental Property Tracker Fits You?
An honest comparison of Guestbo and Stessa for rental property tracking — ease of use, iCal booking sync for short stays, and multi-currency support for cross-border owners.
The short answer
Stessa is a strong choice if you hold US long-term rentals and want an accounting-style dashboard fed by linked bank accounts. Guestbo is built for the owner who pays the bills themselves — often alongside a property manager — and who also rents short-stay nights on Airbnb or Booking. If your income arrives per night rather than per month, or in more than one currency, Guestbo is the closer fit.
Feature comparison

| Getting started | Add a property and start logging in minutes; no bank linking required | Onboarding geared around linking bank and mortgage accounts |
| Short-stay bookings | Bookings with nights, owner share, commission and platform fees, plus ADR and occupancy | Built around monthly rent rather than per-night stays |
| iCal calendar sync | Import Airbnb, Booking and other iCal feeds; bookings are created automatically | No native short-stay iCal booking calendar |
| Multi-currency | Per-property currency with totals grouped by currency | Oriented around USD |

Ease of use
Stessa's setup assumes you want automated bank feeds, which is powerful but means the first useful screen is some way past onboarding. Guestbo takes the opposite approach: add a property, log a mortgage payment and a condo fee, and the dashboard already shows net position, where the money went, and what is still owed to you. Everything can be typed in, imported from a spreadsheet, or created automatically from a calendar feed.
iCal syncing for short stays
This is the clearest difference. Paste the iCal link from Airbnb, Booking or your property manager and Guestbo pulls each reservation into a colour-coded calendar and creates the matching booking. You then fill in your owner share, commission and platform fees, and mark it paid when the payout lands — which feeds average daily rate, occupancy per month, and the received-versus-pending split. A long-term-rental tool has no reason to model any of that.
Multi-currency support
Plenty of owners hold a property in one country and live in another. Guestbo stores a currency per property and per transaction and reports totals grouped by currency, so a CAD condo and a BRL apartment never get silently added together. Stessa is oriented around USD reporting, which is fine domestically and awkward otherwise.
When Stessa is the better pick
If you run a larger US long-term portfolio, want automated bank transaction imports, and care most about tax-package style reporting, Stessa does that job well. Guestbo is deliberately lighter: a fast, honest ledger for the properties you personally pay for.
